Everyone gathered in the Haitian embassy aka Grand Central in Elmont, NY aka xxx where Grandma ruled and family extended beyond blood. I remember the dreams, the hopes, the beliefs that wed seen the worst for our beloved Haiti. We forgot that men are one of a few creatures that will harm their own babies. Theyve done that through corruption, greed, ignorance. The worst was yet to come as a result of a series of coup detats and endemic corruptions which made this January 12 earthquake an ordeal for all, rich, poor, and those claimed to be in between.
